If Words Be Dreams
Art is meant to heal, to teach, to enlighten, and to transform all who are brave enough to live it in it’s truest form.
This book follows, largely in chronological order, the narrative of my life as an artist. But I will also offer three basic theorems that represent my philosophical and critical approach to my profession.

Why Modernism happened
Conventional thought focuses on a sense that the traditional art favored by the hugely influential Paris Salon of the 19th century, had become predictable and stale. I propose that Modernism, the driving force for such a profound altering of our perceptions of reality, had a much deeper origin than mere boredom. I offer that the systematic disassembly of the principles of linear perspective, is the single most important factor in explaining why Modernism had to happen.
Ability to Recognize Uniqueness
Ability to Recognize Uniquenes (ARU) is a theory that I’ve developed to describes the single mechanical principle that enables the entire construction of our system of logic. I propose that ARU is a distinctly different cognitive function separate from what we call intelligence, which I describe as primarily involving purely visual problem solving.
The Ghost Salon
I will also offer a broad overview of what I refer to as the Ghost Salon, ruled by the Collective Cultural Body, and how it has evolved in the last 75 years, setting the standard for what is, or isn’t to be considered, worthwhile art. I will also outline a detailed analysis examining the underlying psychological reasons for the direction taken by the Collective Cultural Body.
